the freshest raw dairy there is

Join our herd share

California raw goat milk and its dairy products are shared with the people who co-own the herd, not sold. Buy a small share of our goats and you become an owner, entitled to the milk (and everything we make from it) as fresh as it gets. It is simple, legal, and how real raw dairy has always worked.

Our cheese, butter, and whey are labeled not for human consumption because they are not for sale, they are for herd-share members only.

little goats, big flavor

Why Nigerian Dwarf?

Pound for pound, they make the best milk of any dairy goat, and it shows in everything we make from it.

The richest, sweetest milk

Nigerian Dwarf goats give milk with the highest butterfat of any dairy goat, often 6 to 10 percent. That is what makes it taste sweet and creamy, with none of the "goaty" flavor people expect.

Naturally smooth

Goat milk has smaller fat globules that stay suspended, so it is naturally smooth without any machine homogenization. Many people find it easier on the stomach.

A2 by nature

Goat milk is naturally an A2 milk, the casein type a lot of folks say sits better with them than standard A1 cow milk. We make no medical claims, just happy customers.

Best for cheese, soap & lotion

All that butterfat is why our milk turns into such creamy cheese, long-lasting soap, and rich lotion. The quality starts in the pail.

clean, cold, careful

From udder to fridge, in minutes

Fresh milk is made, not just gathered. Here's exactly how ours is handled every single day.

01

Clean & forestrip

We wash the udder, forestrip the first squirts to check the milk, then dip the teats, clean every time.

02

Milk through steel

Milk runs through a stainless-steel sieve straight into a stainless pail, no plastic, nothing to hold odors.

03

Instant ice chill

That pail sits in an ice-water bath the whole time, so the milk starts chilling the second it is drawn.

04

Filter at 38°F

Once it hits 38°F we run it through a paper filter and it goes straight to the fridge. Bottled and fresh, daily.

Questions from the farmstand

Raw goat milk cannot be sold retail in our area, but it can be shared among people who own the herd. Join our herd share and you become a co-owner, which entitles you to the milk. It is the legal, time-honored way to get true raw dairy.

That label simply means they are not for sale. They are made for our herd-share members, who own a piece of the herd and the milk it produces.

Yes, daily delivery is available around Butte County. Reach out and we will work out a route and schedule that fits.

High butterfat means it is sweet and creamy, not "goaty." It is naturally smooth (non-homogenized) and an A2 milk, which many people say agrees with them better than cow milk.
